How To Encode Movies To 350mb a Step by Syep Process

This is a tutorial to encode the your movies so that you can reduce the size using h264 codec. Just follow the steps.

Very Important

1) Dont expect the output to be better than the source.

2) The better the source the better the output rip.

3) This is not for viewing on your big screen TV's.

4) This is for watching on your 15'', 17'' or 19'' computer moniters.

5) A 2 hr movie can be encoded to around 350-390 mb.

When should you do this

1) When you are running out of harddisk space.

2) When you are trying to make a large collection of movies. ( A dvd can hold 12 such movies)

What hardware plays this

1) PC (VLC player or Media Player Classic, I recommend VLC player)

2) PS3

What hardware does not play this

1) Ipod

2) PSP

3) Normal dvd players, DivX supported dvd players

Here are the screens of the encoded video

source : Heroes------350 mb, 1018 kbps bitrate, 624x352 resolution

output : Heroes------175 mb, 500 kbps bitrate, 624x352 resolution

Screens when stretched to full screen on my 17'' moniter

source : Heroes------350 mb, 1018 kbps bitrate, 624x352 resolution, screen resoultion : 1024x768

output : Heroes------175 mb, 500 kbps bitrate, 624x352 resolution, screen resoultion : 1024x768

Step 1

There are a lot of encoding softwares, but all of them are just user
interfaces. The quality of the rip depends on the codecs and the
settings you use. I have tried many of them and i recommend you all to
use Mediacoder since it is simple and easy to use and its free.

http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/dlfull.htm

downlaod and install.

Step 2

Add the movie and choose audio tab.

set everything as shown in the image

choose CT AAC+ on the right tab and set the bitrate to 64 kbps and mode as stereo

Copy enc_aacplus.dll and nscrt.dll from plugins folder in Winamp installation folder to codecs folder in MediaCoder folder

Step 3

choose video tab

set

mode : 2 pass

format : h264

container : mp4

backend : x264

bitrate : This is what determines the quality. Any thing between 400 to
500 will give a descent output. Click on summary tab to see the
expected file size. Make the change in bitrate accordingly.

Step 4

choose picture tab

resize : set it to original as shown in the image if your source is a
700mb or a 1.4gb movie. If the source a 720p or 1080p or any other high
resolution bring it down to about 576x320 (16:9). Make sure u keep the
ratio same while bringing down the resolution.

crop : crop the image if the source is out of crop, or else just disable it

framerate : set it to 23.976

Step 5

Click on summary tab to see the estimated file size. If it is too less
then increase the video bitrate, or else decrease it if the size is too
big.

Step 6

Choose the output folder and click on start.

Step 7

You are done

The better the source the better will be your rip. A 720p source gives
a better rip than a 700 mb source. A source with a bitrate of over 1000
kbps will give a good rip.

Top 5 Firewall

1) Sygate® Personal Firewall PRO
Before being discontinued by Symantec as a product, Sygate Personal Firewall software offered solid network protection, activity logging, and automatic email notifications. Free for personal use, it supported advanced configuration options without being overly difficult to use. The PRO edition (no longer available) includeed guaranteed VPN support, an unlimited number of security rules, ability to import/export settings to multiple computers, and one year of free upgrades.

2) ZoneAlarm™ Pro
Zone Labs provides a free ZoneAlarm download, too. The Pro edition adds email attachment protection similar to that offered by antivirus software, password protection, and ICS/NAT support. ZoneAlarm runs in Stealth Mode, making your PC literally "invisible" on the Internet. Though missing some of the more advanced personal firewall controls, its user interface includes handy features like the "Stop" button.

3) Symantec Norton Personal Firewall 2007
Some claim that Norton's graphic interface isn't as easy to use as some other products in this category. Symantec doesn't offer a free trial version of this personal firewall software product either. Still, it continues to improve, and a new Home Network Assistant feature simplifies administering security across the home LAN. The Norton Personal Firewall software is solid and from a reputable company.

4) Tiny Personal Firewall
A relative newcomer to the scene but now an established technology, the TINY Personal Firewall boasts low memory usage (small "footprint") on installed systems. It also contains an interesting time-based rule feature, where packet filters can be set to operate only at certain times of day. The U.S. Air Force chose this product as standard firewall software for its desktop computers. TINY Software provides a free personal version for home users.

5) McAfee Personal Firewall Plus
McAfee's software is sold on a one-year subscription basis rather than on one-time purchase, a feature that may appeal to some, but no free trial exists. McAfee also possesses a comparatively small footprint and a central "Control Panel" style of user interface. Product updates occur "live" over the Internet. McAfee does not support Windows ICS networks or the IIS Web server.

Top 5 antivirus

1) McAfee VirusScan Plus
Antivirus, antispyware, and firewall are included in this 'mini-suite' from McAfee. An ideal candidate for those seeking robust protection without all the bloat of traditional Internet security suites.

2) BitDefender Professional Edition
Softwin's BitDefender Professional protects against viruses, spyware, and instant messaging threats, as well as offering firewall rules to block undesirable traffic and a privacy gateway to keep your identity and preferences private while surfing the Internet.

3) McAfee Internet Security

For those seeking a full blown Internet security suite, McAfee Internet Security offers traditional antivirus, firewall and antispyware complete with spam and phishing protection as well as backup utilities. McAfee's superb detection rates are near legendary.

4) Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal
Kaspersky offers excellent antivirus protection, perhaps unsurpassed in its ability to recognize various compression algorithms and accurately detect infected files contained within the archives. However, their interface is rather convoluted and may be best suited to more advanced users. Should be used in conjunction with a firewall.

5) PC-cillin Internet Security Suite
Building on its solid antivirus capabilities, PC-cillin Internet Security Suite automatically checks for new virus updates every 3 hours and the spam prevention includes a whitelist, blacklist, and Bayesian filter - all at a price substantially lower than many other antivirus suites. If spyware is a problem, consider supplementing the spyware scanner in PC-cillin with either Windows Defender or CounterSpy.

how to increase your share ratio in torrent sites.

I have found a very intresting and user friendly program for making a good ratio in torrent site.
the software is greedytorrent. The torrent site such as bitme, elbitz, demonoid, desitorrents and every site which need invite to register.always ban their user if they have a share ratio less than 0.5%.Now with the introduction of this software their will be banning of user for share ratio.

GreedyTorrent was developed in C++ using wxWidgets 2.6.3 library http://www.wxWidgets.org), to make porting to different platforms easier in the future. It was compiled using MinGW+MSYS and the installation package was created using Inno Setup

GreedyTorrent is implemented as a proxy for the BitTorrent tracker protocol. Once installed, it sits in the system tray and waits for the BitTorrent client server to make a request to the torrent tracker. Once the BitTorrent client server is connected and attempts to report the ploaded quantity, GreedyTorrent modifies the upload ratio to report the results according to your predetermined preferences

GreedyTorrent has the following features:
  • GreedyTorrent is set-once-and-forget type software. No need of configuring it each time you queue a torrent file to download.
  • No complicated options to configure. The default installation of GreedyTorrent is configured to provide you five times actual upload, enough for the survival of a normal ADSL user. There is no need to manually find the hash values or to set tracker URLs, it takes care of them automatically. GreedyTorrent was developed with the beginner user in mind, with an easy to use interface.
  • GreedyTorrent generates no additional traffic. It does not run or emulate an "extra torrent client", and thus does not waste your precious bandwidth.
  • You can continue to use your favorite BitTorrent client, no need to switch to another BitTorrent client to use GreedyTorrent.
